This version of the game has had its map and story reworked to better reflect Ash's journey through the original Pokémon anime. Once you've set up your profile and got to your room, escaping and finding your next challenge is strenuous, as there seems to be no way out—try getting close to the stairs and you will be asked by the in-game mom to go to sleep, but when you attempt to follow her orders, it's difficult to figure out how to get the character to sleep. Nevertheless, players who are familiar with the ins and outs of the gameplay won't have any problems with it.

Despite a certain flaw and issue with random cut scenes, Pokémon Ash Gray is an enjoyable and fascinating game to play, particularly for fans who would like to experience Ash's journey from the anime.
