Follow Ash’s journey in this game

Pokémon Ash Gray is a free-to-play role-playing game where you can experience the exciting and fascinating world of Pokémon without spending a dime. You can compete with other trainers for the title of Best of the Best by capturing every legendary Pokémon, including the rare ones, wherever you go exploring.

In Pokémon Ash Gray, you’ll recruit a small team of starter Pokémon in Town Gate, then go to the other Pokémon gyms around to level up and add more powerful Pokémon to your party. Put each Pokémon through training, then see how it stacks up against others in a battle.

Be the best Pokémon trainer

Pokémon Ash Gray is based on the first Pokémon anime. The story begins with Ash waking up late and missing the opportunity to select a starter. Instead, he gets a Pikachu as a gift. Allies like Misty and Brock are found along the way to help them on their mission. Also, with each victory and defeat, he and Pikachu become closer.

This version of the game has had its map and story reworked to better reflect Ash's journey through the original Pokémon anime. In keeping with the anime, new characters and locations have been added. Splitting motions into Physical and Special categories is the main aspect, and instead of using HMs, the game relies on other goods that are just as important.

As fun as the game is when you play it, however, there is one drawback. There are times when you get stuck in some random cut scenes. You’ll have to restart and reload the game again to your last save. This can be very frustrating especially when the cut scenes are long since you have to go through it again.

Relive the nostalgia, at an expense

The Ash Gray retains the classic look of the older Pokémon games, reliving nostalgia. However, that also means you're stuck with the confusing gameplay from the traditional arcade version of the game. Upon launching, you will be greeted by a tutorial mode featuring Ash Ketchum and Professor Oak, and this is where the challenge starts. Once you've set up your profile and got to your room, escaping and finding your next challenge is strenuous, as there seems to be no way out—try getting close to the stairs and you will be asked by the in-game mom to go to sleep, but when you attempt to follow her orders, it's difficult to figure out how to get the character to sleep. Nevertheless, players who are familiar with the ins and outs of the gameplay won't have any problems with it.

Fun and exciting

Despite a certain flaw and issue with random cut scenes, Pokémon Ash Gray is an enjoyable and fascinating game to play, particularly for fans who would like to experience Ash's journey from the anime. This game is highly recommended to those who have a strong interest in the Pokémon franchise and the adventures and tales that it gives the audience.
